Pre-booking is essential to ensure we stay within our staffing ratios. We often have last minute availability so if it’s an impulsive decision to come visit us, then, to avoid disappointment: please either book online or contact us to check before travelling!
-
Yes, lots of our activities in New Forest and Dorset are made up by combining small enquiries to form a minimum group size, usually between 4 – 6 depending on the activity chosen. When booking, if the online booking says 12 places left, then essentially nobody else has booked that session yet. If you want a guaranteed session then please book onto sessions that already have a couple of places booked. We will contact you to offer alternative dates / times if nobody else books within 24hrs. If we can’t find a mutually suitable option to reschedule, then we will refund no problem.
-
We run small ratio, long duration activity sessions to ensure you have plenty of action and quality time to hone new skills whilst having lots fun with us. We only invest in top quality equipment and employ highly qualified, experienced and engaging staff. Our locations are beautifully immersed in rustic woodlands. Please see our outstanding reviews on Tripadvisor and Google for reassurance!
-
You can pay by credit card / Apple pay through our website or via the payment link in your confirmation email if booking in via phone, text or email. We do not charge any credit card fees. If booking online there is a 6% fee payable to our booking partner FareHarbor. If paying via the confirmation email the fee is 3%. If booking and paying by phone there is no fee, however we can generally only book in groups of 6 or more via phone. We are a small company so if you can’t get us on the phone it’s likely because we are in the woods with a group! Please send a text or email and we will get back to you asap.

All equipment is provided. Please wear comfortable clothing suitable for the forecasted weather conditions on the day. We recommend bringing sun-cream in the summer and spare layers in colder months. Also, closed toe footwear please, trainers are fine. Finally, please ensure that you have any medicines with you if required.
-
Yes, we are 100% dog friendly – as long as they are well behaved and on-lead. There are deer, rabbits and pheasants in the woods hence requiring a lead at all times. They can be with you during the activities, water and shade are available

Our activities are great fun, even if it’s raining. We do understand though that rainy days are not for everyone, so: If the weather forecast is looking less than appealing then our optional Wet Weather Insurance allows you to cancel your activity up until 5pm the day before and receive a full refund – less the booking and insurance fee. You can add Weather Insurance to your booking for £2.50 per person. This is only available at the time of booking. Our standard weather terms and conditions apply if not taking out the insurance option. We won’t run a session if it’s dangerous to do so, in this instance we would try to reschedule or offer a full refund. Rain is not dangerous for us, gale force winds and lightning are!
-
We understand that sometimes plans change or unforeseen circumstances result in a booking having to be cancelled. Please see our ‘Terms & Conditions’ for more details on cancellations, including cancellations due to Coronavirus.
-
No, we assume people have not done the activity before so we generally aim the session towards beginners. If you do have previous experience then we can always increase the level of challenge and hopefully impart some additional expertise to help you develop your skills even more.
-
It should be ok as long as it’s a recurve bow with a draw weight below 30 lbs but please check with us before arrival. Please don’t bring your own axes or crossbows though!
-
For Archery its ages 6+, Axe Throwing and Crossbows 12+. Bushcraft ages 8+. Field Archery ages 12+. There’s no maximum age limit, our current record is a 93½ year old! The ½ was very important 😊
-
That’s absolutely fine, under 12’s can continue to do archery only whilst others in the group also do axe throwing and crossbows, as long as one adult remains with them on the archery range for supervision. The ranges are close together, so you will always be in visual range. The way we run our activities means you can free flow i.e. rotate freely between the activities as you choose. Under 12’s are also welcome to come and watch / be with you on the other activities.
-
Ideally, yes. This is mostly to ensure an adult is always on-hand to supervise and assist if need be. For example, the crossbows have a high draw weight, and will only shoot straight if loaded correctly. Loading it correctly requires a certain physical ability and that may need assistance, before it becomes a safety issue! And with Archery, under 12’s must always be supervised by an adult as they may also require some assistance.
-
Only if booking a bespoke session of 10 or more places. Otherwise, our usual format applies: archery is essentially a core part of every target based activity session. We do run long sessions though so you’ll have plenty of time to do more of the activities you most enjoy.
-
We operate an all inclusive policy for physical disabilities and those with special educational needs, please let us know and we can discuss ways to enhance your visit to us.
-
If booking 12 or more places then yes, it will be just your group and you will have exclusive use of the ranges. If booking less than that then others may be booked onto the session.
-
That’s not a problem, we would suggest reserving the maximum number of places, then communicating with us if numbers drop. Our cut-off window to confirm final numbers is 2 weeks before the event date.
-
Not if booking 6 or more places, we can accept a one place holding deposit. Then settle the balance once final numbers have been confirmed, no later than 2 weeks before the event date.
-
We generally limit our ‘open’ sessions to 13 participants. There is no maximum number for single group bookings. Please contact us if you would like to book a group of more than 12 places.
-
Our sessions are suitable for all ages and abilities, we have run family activity days and birthday get-togethers with ages in the group spanning from 18 months to over 90 years old! Some with no previous experience and some with professional experience, we will tailor the session for you.
-
For group bookings of 10 or more, we have a caterer who can deliver locally sourced and prepared hot food or cold buffet to the woods. Please contact us for more details.
-
Not on the activity sessions. Alcohol and pointy / flingy things generally don’t go too well together. But, If you’re doing an overnight camp with us then you can bring some beers for round the campfire!
-
Yes, we can provide activities for educational purposes both on-site and mobile. Including historical archery, team challenge activities, Forest School and bushcraft activities. Also a variety of well-being in the woods sessions. Please contact us and we can discuss tailor made activities for your school.

-
Yes, please aim to arrive 15 mins before the session start time. It’s up to a 5 min walk from our car-park to the ranges. In the New Forest you can expect small wiggly roads and the occasional donkey and in Dorset you can expect tractors. Please allow some extra time for your travel to us! Late shows constitute a cancellation by the customer and are not refundable.
-
Yes, there’s plenty of free car parking. Access to our car park is via a narrow gravel lane though so large motorhomes may not be suitable at our New Forest location, they are ok at our Dorset location. Minibuses are fine at both locations. It’s a 3 min walk from the carpark to the ranges at New Forest, at Dorset it is less than a minute. Please note that at New Forest, there is a short but steepish gravel hill to walk up / down when accessing the woods. It’s fine for most but please contact us if there are any physical / mobility concerns.
-
Yes, there are rustic composting toilets at both our New Forest and Dorset woodlands. No running water but hand sanitiser and wipes are available.
-
Yes, we have shelters and seating available at both locations. Our activities themselves are generally not under cover however it is still possible to run archery from the shelter and be under cover if it’s a wet day!
-
Yes, you’re welcome to bring some food / snacks as long as you picnic within your allotted activity time, unless you contact us first to ask if its possible to stay longer or arrive earlier to picnic. Some days it won’t be an issue, some days we are too busy to be able to offer that option. There is no charge if we can accommodate you.
-
Unfortunately not, but you can bring snacks and soft drinks. Drinking water is available.
-
Both sites are woodland based and the access is not ideal for wheelchairs unfortunately. Please contact us if there are any mobility / accessibility questions and we will advise on an individual basis.
-
Yes, of course! Our vouchers make excellent and unique gifts for loved ones at Christmas, Birthdays or just as a reward. They are redeemable on all activities and locations for 12 months (must be booked within 12 months but the experience can take place after that)
Gift Vouchers can be purchased directly through our website, and the recipient can use them as payment in whole or part when booking online. They are instantly emailed to you as soon as payment is made.
-
If you have a voucher purchased through ‘Experience Days’ then you must contact them directly to get booked in. We cannot book you in, we can only advise on availability.
