Coronavirus is having far reaching impacts and we appreciate you will have concerns regarding activities in close proximity to others.
As ever, the safety of our customers and staff is our main priority and we are closely monitoring the advice from Public Health England (PHE) and reviewing our strategy in these unprecedented times.
Currently, activities in an outdoor setting are considered lower risk than those in an indoor session or crowded environment.
As part of our duty of care to all visitors, we’re putting in place additional precautions to make your visit with us as safe as possible. These measures include:
• Increased anti-bacterial hand wash and ‘handwashing’ posters at our activity sites
• Increased anti-bacterial cleaning of shared equipment
• Suspension of ‘high-risk’ activities such as Archery Combat
• Amendments to our teaching style to protect staff and customers in line with social distancing recommendations
• Restricting group sizes to a maximum of 12 individuals on session at any time (Single household, 8 if mixed households from July 4th 2020)
Hand Washing Facilities:
We do not have running water at our sites. We will be providing water containers and hand soap which will allow you to wash your hands. You will be required to wash your hands upon arrival and will be encouraged to wash your hands at regular intervals throughout your session.
Our equipment will be cleaned with anti-bacterial cleaner at the beginning and end of every session. The cleaner will be available for you to wipe down your piece/s of shared provided equipment such as axes, crossbows, archery bows and arrows that may be shared between your group during the session. We have suspended the use of shared ‘high risk’ equipment such as face masks for Archery Combat (see below).
Suspension of ‘High Risk’ Activities:
We have taken the decision to suspend all Archery Combat activities at this time. This activity involves all participants to wear a protective face mask. Due to the risk of cross contamination of shared face masks, we consider this to be an unacceptable level of risk to our customers. This activity cannot be run safely without face masks and will therefore be suspended until further notice. If your current booking involves this activity, we will discuss alternative activities with you.
Amendments to our Teach Style:
We will be adjusting our teaching style to allow for increased social distancing. Our staff would typically be stood in close proximity to you in order to instruct you and monitor your learning. In order to maintain a minimum distance in accordance with current social distancing advice from PHE, we will be amending our teaching style to maintain distance between staff and participants as far as possible whilst still ensuring your safety and facilitating your learning. This will involve increased demonstrations from our staff for you to follow.
Current and Future Bookings and Cancellation Policy:
These are uncertain times and these circumstances are unprecedented. For those choosing to book or proceed with their existing activity bookings with us, we will do our utmost to ensure your safety and enjoyment.
If you’ve made a booking with us and do not wish to attend due to Coronavirus concerns, we will work with you to issue gift vouchers or provide alternative dates for your activities on a case by case basis. Our standard terms and conditions still apply regarding cancellations. For bookings of 7 or less – If cancelling with 14 days or more notice then we will refund you fully, if cancelling with less than 7 days’ notice then we cannot refund, if between those times we will refund 50%. For groups of 8 or more please see our group booking terms.
If you or your group members fall into the ‘at risk’ categories, please let us know as soon as possible.
The ‘at risk’ categories are as follows:
• Over 70 years of age
• Have an existing health condition, particularly those affecting the heart or lungs
• Are pregnant

We will work with you to move your booking free of charge to a day more suitable for you (subject to availability).
